Second day work of the still life

This is the second day work, again about an hours work.  This time I am putting in more warm and cool tone.  It is very enjoyable to work this way

The begining of a practice piece out of an artist magazine

This is the first day of painting the still life.  It was only about 1 hour.  It was fun to do something less involved and ..... I am still learning :)

The top for Ellouisa's new quilt

This is a quilt top that had started life as a tablecloth.  I was making it for the patio when Ellouisa saw this and said it was too pretty for a tablecloth and that it would be much nicer on her bed.  So I had to agree with her and decided to extend it to fit the top of a double bed.  So it is just about ready to be sent of to a lovely lady who will machine quilt it for me.  It will be great to see the before and after shots of the quilting.

Yes, I know the picture is up the wrong way!!!!! I did change it on my file, but then when I transfered it to the blog it reverted to the old positon!!  arghrrrrrr
Anyway, I am very happy with it.  I will post another picture of a close up of the face.
It has been a challenge, and a huge learning curve.  But I would do it again, to benefit from the learning from it. :)

Razel

I dont know how to change the image, as when I change it on my files it turns it back around!! ha ha But anyway this is the little boy from Lombok who I did a portrait of for a charity "Friends of Lombok" they sold raffle tickets and raised $480 from tickets of Razel. I was very pleased to help and felt very blessed by the experience :)

My yummy butterfly cakes

Updated works

I have added a bit more "smile" to "Beautiful Claudia", now I am considering adding the necklace. I have finally realised the benefit of the correct painting medium. It has made a huge difference and I am so pleased with the results. The wedding portrait is getting closer to where I want it to be.
