Continuing still life
I have more photos to put on here. The painting is slowly coming along. I hope to work on it again tomorrow. I have been trying to work on the painting for an hour most mornings. I find this is a great way to start the day. I feel so much more balanced and fullfilled when I can paint.
Still Life so far
I am finding a great deal of insite working through the still life I am working on from an art magazine. I am loving the concept of working in warm and cool shadows and lights. It is liberating to be working in a broader sense of not doing too much fine detail and not having a huge amount of pressure to perform. Of course the finer detail will come towards the end.

Second day work of the still life
This is the second day work, again about an hours work. This time I am putting in more warm and cool tone. It is very enjoyable to work this way
The begining of a practice piece out of an artist magazine
This is the first day of painting the still life. It was only about 1 hour. It was fun to do something less involved and ..... I am still learning :)
The top for Ellouisa's new quilt
This is a quilt top that had started life as a tablecloth. I was making it for the patio when Ellouisa saw this and said it was too pretty for a tablecloth and that it would be much nicer on her bed. So I had to agree with her and decided to extend it to fit the top of a double bed. So it is just about ready to be sent of to a lovely lady who will machine quilt it for me. It will be great to see the before and after shots of the quilting.
